Yen Khanh Gazetteer: Scientific work that evokes pride in homeland

In April 2024, the Propaganda Department of Yen Khanh district and the Institute of Educational Management Sciences signed a contract to implement the project "Research, compile, and publish the book Yen Khanh Geography". A group of scientists and authors conducted fieldwork, searched, and compiled documents to compile the outline and content of the book.

Yen Khanh is a historical land formed long ago through the ups and downs of history, the land and people here have been attached and blended together, creating unique cultural values ​​of a countryside formed from the sedimentation of the ocean. In order to have a scientific work to comprehensively synthesize the natural conditions, history, economy, culture... of the district in the past and present, Yen Khanh District Party Committee has issued a Plan on collecting, researching, compiling and publishing the book Yen Khanh Gazetteer. This is a scientific work to research and synthesize the outstanding characteristics of the people and land of Yen Khanh, thereby contributing to educating cultural and historical traditions, arousing pride in the homeland for cadres, party members and people in the district, encouraging all classes of people in the district to strive to build a prosperous homeland.

After signing the contract, a group of scientists and authors conducted fieldwork, searched, and compiled documents to compile the outline and content of the book.

On August 24, 2024, the Institute of Educational Management Sciences coordinated with the Yen Khanh District Party Committee to organize a workshop on the detailed outline of the Yen Khanh Geographical Map. Attending the workshop were representatives of the district Party Committee's leaders: Comrade Hoang Van Thang, member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Comrade Pham Ngoc Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Comrade Dao Hoang Ha, member of the District Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department, and members of the Steering Committee, the book's compilation committee, leaders of departments, branches, unions, and specialized departments under the district. On the side of the representative of the compilation unit - the Institute of Educational Management Sciences, there were Prof. Dr. Bui Hoc - Director of the Institute, Dr. Do Van Manh (Manh Dung) - Chairman of the Institute Council, Historian Nguyen Quang An - Deputy Director of the Institute, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang - Member of the Scientific Council, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Duc Minh - Member of the Scientific Council, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Binh - Member, Researcher Pham Nhu Thom - Member of the Scientific Council, Dr. Nguyen Huy Phong - Member of the Scientific Council and a group of scientists and authors participating in compiling the book Yen Khanh Geography.

Representatives of press agencies include Ninh Binh Newspaper, Ninh Binh Radio & Television Station, District Culture - Sports & Broadcasting Center and representatives of press agencies and radio stations.

Up to now, with the enthusiasm and efforts of scientists of the Institute of Educational Management Science, the responsible participation and contribution of opinions of comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the Steering Committee, the Editorial Board, the draft outline of the book "Geography of Yen Khanh" has been built by the editorial board, the content of the book has 7 contents, including 6 main parts and appendix:

Appendix

At the workshop, the delegates' comments focused on the following contents: title, layout of the book, content of chapters, sections in each part, appendix of the book. Based on the comments of scientists and delegates, the organizing unit of the Institute of Educational Management Sciences received comments to supplement and complete the outline, as a basis for the research, compilation and publication of the book Yen Khanh District Geography in the coming time.
