Video: Young man in Phu Yen fined over 3.7 million VND for riding motorbike with two feet
On the afternoon of March 29, Colonel Nguyen Thai Hoang, Deputy Director of Phu Yen Provincial Police, said that Tuy An District Police had drawn up a record and issued a decision to administratively sanction D.QH (residing in An Phu commune, Tuy Hoa city).
According to the decision, H. was fined 3,725,000 VND for using his feet to control a motorbike and not wearing a helmet while participating in traffic.
Previously, Phu Yen social networks spread a clip recording the image of a young man using his feet to control a motorbike without wearing a helmet on DT649 road, through An Chan commune (Tuy An district).
The above clip has caused public outrage. Many people believe that the young man’s actions are a disregard for the law and a danger to other vehicles on the road.
" After the clip went viral on social media, the police immediately stepped in to verify and find out the young man's identity," said Colonel Nguyen Thai Hoang.

In February 2024, also on National Highway 1 through An My and An Chan communes (Tuy A district), Phu Yen social networks posted a clip of two young men driving a motorbike swerving in front of a passing vehicle.
The Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen Province quickly verified that the two young men had committed violations such as not wearing helmets, carrying a passenger without a helmet; driving in a zigzag manner on the road; not having a driver's license as prescribed; and fining the vehicle owner for allowing a person who was not qualified to participate in traffic.
The authorities decided to fine the two young men 11.4 million VND and temporarily detain their vehicles.
