Tay Ninh has many historical-cultural relics and scenic spots, the system of local relics represents the origin; reflects the process of land reclamation, settlement; customs, traditions of the people, with many important historical values. Therefore, the work of building, upgrading, and restoring historical-cultural relics in the province is always focused and is gradually combined with tourism development.

Tay Ninh is a place of convergence and intersection of many cultural identities, with 22 ethnic groups living such as: Khmer, Cham, Hoa, Stieng, Muong, Tay, Thai, Nung, Dao, H'mong... settled and distributed throughout the districts, towns and cities. Tay Ninh is also the cradle of the Southern revolution, with a long history of heroic traditions, along with the diversity of religions, cultures and beliefs, creating a unique cultural identity with many traditional, folk, religious and belief festivals...

Preserve and promote the value of heritage

Tay Ninh has 96 ranked relics, including 1 special national relic, 27 national relics and 68 provincial relics distributed in 9 districts, towns and cities. Besides the famous tourist areas of the province such as Ba Den Mountain, Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park, Central Office of Southern Region Base... the system of historical relics in the province plays an important role and becomes a destination, combining performances of intangible cultural heritage to create attractive tourism products, imbued with local characteristics.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Giang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in recent times, all levels and sectors have always focused on developing and improving the quality of traditional festivals such as: Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival, Rong Forest Oath Festival, Kim Quang Cave Festival, Dieu Tri Palace Banquet, Duc Chi Ton Festival, Ba Festival, Tra Vong Quan Lon Festival, Ky Yen Festival at communal houses and Ong's palaces; ceremonial music, ceremonial games... associated with the regular and periodic organization of commercial, service, culinary and cultural events; promoting the conservation and effective exploitation of cultural identities, unique festivals of ethnic minorities, positive cultural values ​​in religions and beliefs in the province to enrich tourism products, aiming to form a unique brand of Tay Ninh tourism.

In which, Southern amateur music art was honored by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

According to researcher Phi Thanh Phat - Vice President of the Folk Arts Association (Provincial Literature and Arts Association), the traditional craft of making incense in Tay Ninh has just been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. However, this craft is distributed in many districts, towns, and cities and is mainly done by households and small establishments. If possible, incense making establishments should develop into traditional craft villages to create jobs for many people, increase product quality and build brands, create a stable source of income, and maintain the craft village in the long term.

In addition, localities and production facilities also need to strengthen the promotion and communication of heritage; develop incense making sites into tourist attractions for people to visit and experience. In particular, it is necessary to have the attention of agencies, departments and branches, creating conditions for artisans to develop production, to be able to make a living from their profession, thereby preserving and developing the traditional incense making profession in Tay Ninh.

Promote exploitation of potentials

The work of preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics to educate traditions, preserve national identity associated with tourism development has been focused on and effectively implemented by Tay Ninh. On that basis, the province has identified key tourist attractions that play a connecting and spreading role to propose implementation methods, focusing on promoting and effectively exploiting values, cultural and historical elements... initially shaping and aiming to affirm the brand of Tay Ninh destination tourism on the Vietnam tourism map.

Ms. Tran Thi Bich Loan - a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City shared: "In my opinion, Tay Ninh has developed in all aspects since changing from a town to a city, especially tourism. According to the plan to promote tourist destinations in Tay Ninh province, in the period of 2023-2025, the province has identified 4 key tourist attractions, including: Ba Den Mountain historical relic and scenic spot; Special national historical relic - Southern Central Bureau Base; Tay Ninh Cao Dai Holy See; Dau Tieng Lake and 13 tourist attractions with the role of connecting and spreading: ASEAN Heritage Garden - Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park; Kim Quang Cave Resistance Base; Duong Minh Chau Base historical relic; Junction City Victory Memorial Historical Site; Chot Mat Tower architectural and artistic relic...

Present at the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, Mr. Pham Duc Long, a resident of Binh Phuoc province, happily said: “Every year, my family and I visit Tay Ninh twice, at the beginning of the new year and on the occasion of Vu Lan festival, with the hope of praying for peace, luck, and health for my family members. I see that Tay Ninh is developing many tourist destinations, especially spiritual tourism.”

Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized delegations to survey tourist destinations in Tay Ninh, in order to promote, introduce and connect these tourist destinations, thereby forming new, unique and different tourism programs and routes compared to other provinces in the region. Thereby bringing positive signals, stimulating domestic tourism, attracting a large number of tourists from outside the province to Tay Ninh.
