On the morning of January 13, 2021, in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, an important event took place when the Provincial People's Committee announced the Prime Minister's decision on the master plan to preserve, restore and promote the value of the special national relic site of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien. This plan marks a major step forward in affirming the role of the heritage of President Ho Chi Minh's hometown, not only as a historical site but also as a unique cultural, educational and tourism center.
With a total planning area of up to 278.86 hectares, the relic in Kim Lien commune is shaped into a memorial area of national and international stature. Important relic clusters such as Sen Village, Hoang Tru, Hoang Thi Loan Tomb, and Chung Mountain are harmoniously connected, forming a rich heritage complex. This space both honors historical values and opens up opportunities for cultural tourism development, while connecting with unique experiences of the North Central countryside.

According to the planning content, the relic site is built synchronously, creating harmony between traditional architecture and nature. The system of new buildings is designed to be low-rise, suitable for the landscape of Vietnamese villages, ensuring that it does not affect the inherent historical value. In addition, the planning also includes an expanded area to promote the value of the relic, combined with ecological conservation and development such as the dragon blood rice growing area, Chung mountain eco-tourism area and traditional craft experience space.
The planning process, which will start in 2021 and last until 2030, will focus on preserving original values while effectively exploiting the tourism potential of the area. New tourism products such as Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk singing performances, traditional handicrafts, and folk games will be developed, contributing to promoting the unique cultural identity of the locality to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, emphasized that the announcement of the planning not only shows gratitude to the beloved leader of the nation but also is an important driving force to promote the socio-economic development of the locality. He also expressed his hope that the relic site will become a cultural center, educating patriotic traditions, attracting the younger generation to learn about history, and at the same time becoming a highlight in the journey of international tourists to the source.
Efforts to preserve and promote the value of relics do not stop at maintaining heritages, but also open up career transition opportunities for local people. Vocational training programs, restoration and development of traditional craft villages contribute to ensuring the sustainability of the project and improving the lives of the community. Consensus from local people, combined with support from organizations and businesses, will become an important factor determining the success of the planning.
With a long-term vision and sustainable solutions, the master plan for preserving the Lang Sen relic site affirms the everlasting value of cultural heritage, while turning Nghe An into an attractive destination, where history, culture and nature blend together. This is how heritage lives forever in memory, accompanying the development of the times, spreading profound human values to all generations.
