Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, affirmed that this unit has no relation to Hanoi University of Science and Technology even though the word "Bach khoa" is in its name.

This has been the winning bidder for catering services at A15 cafeteria for many years. The selection and signing of contracts were all carried out in accordance with regulations.

While waiting for a new food supplier, canteen A15 was asked to temporarily suspend operations.

According to the leader of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in explaining to the school, the supplier said it had not received any direct feedback from students regarding food hygiene issues, and no cases of food poisoning had been recorded in the past.

However, immediately after the complaints, Hanoi University of Science and Technology immediately terminated the contract with Bach Khoa Investment and Trade Service Joint Stock Company. While waiting for approval of the new meal provider, the A15 cafeteria was asked to temporarily stop operating.

About 500 students studying national defense and security education were transferred to the school's canteen for staff and lecturers.

Currently, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has two cafeterias, including cafeteria A15 serving students and cafeteria for staff and lecturers. Both are bid by service providers outside the school. According to the leaders of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the contracts with these units all have terms and regulations on food hygiene and safety in raw materials, processing stages, etc.

Previously, as VietNamNet reported, according to the reflection, new students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology had to eat leftover rice and soup during the time of studying national defense and security education. Not only that, some students said that they had discovered foreign objects such as cockroaches in their food many times.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Board of Directors of Hanoi University of Science and Technology spoke up to take direct responsibility, apologized and affirmed that they would publicly and strictly handle the relevant groups and individuals to ensure the rights of students.

“This is an unfortunate incident. Hanoi University of Science and Technology would like to apologize and hope to receive sympathy and sharing from parents and students.
