Khanh Le Pass on National Highway 27C, through Khanh Vinh District ( Khanh Hoa Province) has been reopened to traffic after nearly a week of interruption due to serious landslides.
The opening of Khanh Le Pass was announced by the leaders of Road Management Area 3 (Vietnam Road Administration) tonight (December 21). This is the result of many days of mobilizing human resources and construction equipment in 3 shifts and 4 crews to handle landslides on National Highway 27.
Specifically, it is expected that at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow (December 22), National Highway 27C will be opened to traffic, allowing vehicles to travel through the pass.
According to Road Management Area 3, the weather on the pass is currently erratic, with continuous rain and dense fog, causing limited visibility. Therefore, to ensure safety, the pass will be closed from 5pm to 7am the following day.
For the landslide section in Son Thai commune, about 300m long, only one lane is open to traffic. Authorities have placed warning signs, markers... and assigned staff to regulate traffic to ensure safety for vehicles.
After heavy rains, on the morning of December 15, Khanh Le Pass experienced landslides in many places. A series of giant rocks blocked the road, causing traffic disruption. The road connecting Nha Trang - Da Lat was paralyzed. For nearly a week, authorities have focused on fixing the problem.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has rewarded 4 collectives with achievements in overcoming serious landslides.
The force that worked all night to overcome the landslide on Khanh Le pass was proposed for reward.
