Hue City People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 157/KH-UBND on developing community tourism in Hue city for the period 2025 - 2030.

According to the plan, in the period of 2025 - 2030, the locality strives to achieve a number of specific targets such as: Striving to increase the number of community tourists in the total number of tourists to Hue , aiming to increase the number of community tourists by about 5-10% annually. By 2030, strive for the structure of community tourists to account for 30% of the total number of tourists to Hue.

Research and develop policy frameworks to support community tourism development in Hue city in the period of 2026 - 2030 as a basis for localities to apply based on local resources and socialized capital. Research and support investment in building community tourism models in localities in the city, build a pilot model of Community Tourism Craft Village, and link community tourism development with rural agricultural tourism in new rural construction.

Complete the pilot model of rural and community tourism associated with new rural construction in Ngu My Thanh village, Quang Loi commune, Quang Dien district according to the direction of the Central Government and develop an implementation plan for the period 2026-2030 with registered capital support from the Central Government.

In addition, strive for each new rural district and town with tourism potential to have OCOP products associated with community tourism development. Strive for 100% of tourism establishments providing community tourism services to be trained in tourism management; 80% of community tourism workers to be trained and improved in their professional skills and tourist service skills; each community tourism spot to have at least 01 person who can communicate in a foreign language...

To achieve the above targets, the plan also proposes solutions such as: Completing guidelines on community tourism development. Building unique community tourism products, building community tourism models towards green and sustainable tourism; Developing and improving the quality of tourist destinations and community tourism products associated with new rural construction; Planning and investing in infrastructure and technical facilities for community tourism development; Promoting and applying digital technology in community tourism development; Training to improve the quality of tourism human resources.
