On the evening of April 4, at the Attilio Cooking School in Or Yehuda city, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel organized the event "Pho Night" to introduce traditional Vietnamese pho to local friends and diners.
Chicken Pho is prepared by Attilio School chefs following the recipe and remote instructions of the Sofitel Metropole Hanoi hotel chef, with direct assistance in preparing ingredients and cooking from Vietnamese Embassy staff, to create bowls of pho that are as traditional as possible while still ensuring Jewish cooking standards.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung introduced the unique culinary culture crystallized in the dish that is not only popular with all Vietnamese people, but is now widely known to friends around the world; at the same time, he introduced to diners the ingredients such as pho noodles, chicken and how to use spices that best suit the style of enjoying pho in Vietnam. Diners commented that chicken pho is like soup, has a pleasant rich flavor, eye-catching colors and is suitable for a light eating style.
Ambassador Ly Duc Trung said that the guests invited to enjoy Vietnamese Pho are all people who understand and love the country, people and cuisine of Vietnam, many of whom are local chefs and restaurant owners. He hopes that through events like this, the appeal of Vietnam's traditional Pho will spread more and more to international friends.
For his part, Mr. Chico Karolizky - Director of Attilio Cooking School - shared: “I am very proud to organize the 'Pho Night' event today and to be introduced to traditional Vietnamese food. This is the first time I have enjoyed Pho, it is very delicious. It is great that we get to learn more about different traditional dishes of different countries”.
The event is part of a series of joint activities of the Food Lovers Association of the Ambassadors' Club in Israel, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Independence Day of the State of Israel (1948-2023) and towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Israel (1993-2023).

The smell of old pho
When talking about the cuisine of the capital, it is impossible not to mention Hanoi pho. Around the year 2000, the taste of Hanoi pho began to "change its tone". Even the long-standing pho restaurants could not avoid the pace of life.
