The Hanoi Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1997, formerly the Hanoi Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, bringing together professors, lecturers, soloists and a number of excellent students from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Many artists and musicians of the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra graduated from famous conservatories in Russia, Hungary, Germany, England, etc.

Along with the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra artists, the concert will feature Orhan Salliel - a talented conductor and composer with extensive experience conducting symphony orchestras in Türkiye and internationally. With a unique ability to combine Western classical music with traditional Turkish musical elements, Orhan Salliel has created and released many projects and works. He has expanded the reach of polyphonic music and continues to influence new generations of musicians.
Artist Sara Dragan, who will be featured in the program, is a talented young violinist, a phenomenon of her generation, having won about 50 prestigious international violin competitions. The artist has performed at most of the symphony houses in Poland as well as toured throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.

The program will also feature guest violinist Chuong Vu, who has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia with a repertoire ranging from pre-classical to contemporary. Chuong Vu also regularly performs solo with all major orchestras in Vietnam. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Vietnam Connection Music Festival and the Artistic Advisor of the Vietnam International Music Competition.
During the concert, the artists will perform three works by Tchaikovsky (1840 – 1893), a composer representing the Russian Romantic school. All three have outstanding characteristics of Tchaikovsky’s style, demonstrating his talent in orchestration, harmony in compositional techniques and spiritual depth in musical art.

It is the overture “The Nutcracker” op.71. This is the opening music for the ballet of the same name - one of the works that made Tchaikovsky's name in the field of ballet music.
Next is the Violin Concerto in D major, op. 35. This is the only violin concerto left by Tchaikovsky and is one of the most famous violin concertos in the world, because of its sweet beauty and intense expressiveness.
Different from the sweet beauty of the two works above, Symphony No. 5 played in the program is where Tchaikovsky reveals complex and extremely contrasting thoughts, delving into every corner of his inner emotions.
