Festival Night "Hai Phong - Light up the heritage land"

Hai Phong City People's Committee has just issued a Plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays in May 2024 and the 69th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2024).

The activities aim to widely propagate and educate the Party Committee, government and people of the city about patriotism, historical and cultural traditions of the nation and homeland, contributing to fostering and promoting revolutionary heroism, consolidating and fostering the trust of the city's people in the Party and State, creating a driving force to promote the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration.

This is also an opportunity to review the tradition of "Loyalty - Determination to win", solidarity, dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do; affirm the great achievements of the Party Committee, government, army and people of the city in 69 years of fighting, protecting, building and developing the city; educate revolutionary traditions, enhance national pride; encourage and motivate Party members and people of all walks of life in the city to respond well to the city's theme in 2024 "Promoting urban modernization - Building a model new countryside - Strengthening the implementation of social policies and digital transformation".

At the same time, successfully organize the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2024 and receive the title of World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago from the UNESCO Natural Heritage Committee; strive to achieve the goals and targets of the socio-economic development plan, national defense and security in 2024 at the highest level; successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

In particular, the main activities of the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2024 will take place in 5 days from May 10, 2024 to May 14, 2024. The Festival Night program with the theme "Hai Phong - Illuminating the heritage land" aims to affirm that Hai Phong is a city with a long history and cultural depth with a rich variety of tangible and intangible cultural heritages, a bright spot of the whole country in economic - cultural - social development.

On this occasion, the city organized an incense offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs; organized the groundbreaking and inauguration of a number of key projects and works. At the same time, it promoted the work of arranging order, sidewalks, environmental sanitation, implementing a civilized and cultural urban lifestyle; preventing crimes, traffic safety, social evils, ensuring political security, social order and safety.

Over the past 10 years (from 2012 to 2023), the Night Art Program at the Red Flamboyant Festival has been held at the City Theater Square and the flagpole yard in the city center. The art program held in this area is limited by space, which has affected the scale of the Festival and the need for direct participation of the people and tourists.

The area for organizing the Art Program "Hai Phong - Light up the heritage land" Red Flamboyant Festival 2024 at the Political - Administrative Center in the New Urban Area North of Cam River will be fully guaranteed with the necessary conditions for the unit selected to organize the program to deploy the stage installation, the capacity of the area expected to organize the Program is about 18,000 people.
