Proposal to soon have a legal framework for digital assets

At the forum, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Chairman of SSI said that he himself is a "pure financial person" so he thinks digital assets are something new, for the young generation and has not paid much attention to this field. However, during a visit to Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, a leader here told him that at present, Vietnam is in great need of a financial institution to support businesses and young people who want to develop in the field of technology and blockchain startups.

The Chairman of SSI Digital said that Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park provided him and his associates with a beautiful piece of land and guided his team to build a technology center.

"After struggling for a whole year, we have completed the first technology center. For us, building such a center is very easy, but how to make it exist and develop sustainably is an extremely difficult thing" - Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung confided.

The Chairman of SSI Digital said that one day, he found his partners. They were Mr. Mai Huy Tuan – current CEO of SSI Digital and Mr. Nguyen Trung Trang – CPO of SSI Digital. These are people who have a community of interest and have invested a lot of money in digital asset investment.

This is also the reason for the birth of SSI Digital. However, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung affirmed that SSI Digital will operate independently from SSI Securities - a purely financial institution that has been associated with the Vietnamese stock market for 24 years.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Vietnam is currently the third country in the world in digital asset transactions. However, the big problem now is that Vietnam does not have a legal basis to recognize digital assets. He said that we need to make proposals to the Government to legalize digital assets as a civil transaction. From there, Vietnam can officially create digital asset trading floors so that buying, selling, and transferring takes place transparently.
