The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has issued a plan to implement a number of tasks and solutions to prevent and minimize collective labor disputes and strikes, contributing to stabilizing social security and order.

Accordingly, to carry out the above tasks, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will guide, support and promote dialogue and collective bargaining activities at enterprises, industry levels and business groups to build a stable environment in labor relations.

At the same time, urge monitoring, updating, comparing, and reporting on labor disputes and strikes; propose and support the implementation of measures to handle arising incidents and promptly stabilize the situation.

Another solution that the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs is considering is to improve the efficiency of institutions for resolving labor disputes and strikes (labor mediators, Labor Arbitration Councils), and promote the settlement of labor disputes and strikes in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the development of legal policies, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to perform its role as a member of the National Wage Council in reviewing, examining and evaluating the minimum living standards of workers and their families in relation to market wages and the consumer price index.

From there, it will serve as a basis for proposing and recommending to the Government suitable regional minimum wage plans; promptly informing and disseminating the wage policy of workers to the business sector.

From July 1, 2024, the Government has adjusted the monthly minimum wage to increase by 6%, with the following levels: Region 1 is 4.96 million VND, Region 2 is 4.41 million VND, Region 3 is 3.86 million VND, Region 4 is 3.45 million VND.
