Specifically, the Decree on building and developing brands and trademarks of Vietnamese agricultural products provides many support policies for enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, associations, farms, and households operating in the fields of agricultural production, processing, and trading of agricultural products to promote brand building and trademarks, and increase competitiveness in the market.
Accordingly, the draft Decree proposes four main support policies, including: Support for standardizing production, processing and preservation processes; support for registering protection of agricultural product trademarks and brands domestically and internationally; support for improving the capacity of owners in managing and using agricultural product trademarks and brands; and support for communication, promotion and market development programs.
Regarding the policy to support standardization of production, processing and preservation processes of agricultural products, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development proposes to include in the list of priority investment incentives for agricultural product production models achieving the Vietnamese agricultural product brand; prioritize funding support for science, agricultural extension; credit, land; and other related policies for these models.
Add specific policies for cooperatives, cooperative groups, associations, farms, and households with regulations on 100% funding support for building large-scale concentrated production models (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, animal feed, and veterinary drugs allowed for use).
Regarding support for registration of protection of trademarks and brands of agricultural products at home and abroad, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development proposes a level of financial support from the science and technology career fund in the form of proposals to carry out annual science and technology tasks.
