
The Ministry of Health proposes including pneumococcal vaccines and cervical cancer vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program.
The above proposal was put forward by the Ministry of Health in the draft Circular promulgating the list of infectious diseases, subjects and scope of mandatory use of vaccines and medical biological products.
In the draft, the Ministry of Health proposes the following list of infectious diseases and subjects required to receive vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program:

The vaccination schedule for vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program follows the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
According to Circular No. 10/2024/TT-BYT , there are 11 infectious diseases for which vaccination is mandatory, including: 1- Hepatitis B; 2- Tuberculosis; 3- Diphtheria; 4- Pertussis (whooping cough); 5- Tetanus; 6- Polio; 7- Haemophilus influenzae type b; 8- Measles; 9- Japanese encephalitis B; 10- Rubella; 11- Rotavirus diarrhea.
The draft clearly states that vaccines on the aforementioned list will be deployed nationwide for children and pregnant women within the Expanded Immunization Program . Regarding... The pneumococcal vaccine and the cervical cancer vaccine will be implemented according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, based on Government Resolution No. 104/NQ-CP dated August 15, 2022, on the roadmap for increasing the number of vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program for the period 2021-2030 , and the resources of the central and local governments.
Regarding the roadmap for increasing the number of vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program for the period 2021-2030, according to Resolution No. 104/NQ-CP dated August 15, 2022 of the Government, the rotavirus vaccine will be introduced from 2022, the pneumococcal vaccine from 2025, the cervical cancer vaccine from 2026, and the seasonal influenza vaccine from 2030…
