On December 9, the Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee met to agree on implementing a project to manage, exploit and promote the value of Dam Vac Lake.
Dam Vac has a lake area of about 150 hectares, is an important space, landscape, ecology highlight, the green heart of Vinh Yen city. However, currently, the lake does not have a walking path around it, has not fully promoted its potential, value, and important meaning.
On the morning of December 9, the Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee met to give opinions on the plan to manage, exploit and promote the value of Dam Vac.
Specifically, the Provincial Party Standing Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to research and develop a plan to protect and promote the value of Dam Vac in conjunction with the development of urban areas, entertainment areas, residential areas, and creating ecological landscapes.
According to the initial preliminary planning, the project has a total capital of about 1,200 billion VND, to be implemented in 2025 and the period 2026 - 2028, including expanding the lake area, building a walking path around the lake; park system and dredging the lake bed.

The project is implemented to improve the urban area, complete the infrastructure, landscape architecture of Dam Vac area and surrounding areas; build parks, create live theater on the water, recreate the natural ecosystem; best promote the values of the lake and surrounding areas to become a new, attractive, classy, natural, environmentally friendly tourist and resort destination.
At the same time, it serves as a basis for implementing investment projects, managing construction, forming a spacious and modern urban architectural facade, contributing to improving urban quality, serving the diverse needs of people, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development and creating an architectural landscape for the central area of Vinh Yen city.
Emphasizing the historical, cultural, environmental and landscape values of Dam Vac Lake, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An said that the Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed on the policy of having an investment project to renovate Dam Vac Lake to promote the value of the lake by expanding the lake in places where it can be expanded without affecting the life, environment and landscape of the surrounding area.
At the same time, dredge the entire lake bed and build a traffic system around the lake with a total length of about 15km to serve people's walking, physical exercise, sports, entertainment and relaxation; build a number of surrounding entertainment spots to make Dam Vac Lake a tourist destination, a place for entertainment and recreation for people and tourists to visit and travel.
Mr. Duong Van An assigned the specialized agencies to publicize the preliminary planning plan on mass media and public places around Vinh Yen city; to study and organize a competition for the project's architectural design in combination with collecting ideas from experts, architects and public opinions. Strive to start the project on the occasion of the 18th Provincial Party Congress to demonstrate Vinh Phuc province's rise with the country in the new era.
For districts and cities, continue to review and study the planning of lakes and lagoons in the area to exploit and promote the value of lakes and lagoons to promote local socio-economic development.
The conference also gave opinions on the policy of receiving investment support from Viet Duc Steel Pipe Joint Stock Company to invest in sidewalks and trees on the central road of Me Linh New Urban Area, the section through Viet Duc Legend City New Urban Area; gave opinions on the issuance of a Decision specifying a number of articles of Decree No. 102 of the Government under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee.
