On the afternoon of February 8, the Department of Planning and Investment held a meeting with relevant departments and branches to unify data and content of the 2025 socio -economic development project with a growth target of 8% or more. Comrade Pham Ngoc Nghi - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the Department of Planning and Investment approved the Draft Socio-Economic Development Project for 2025 with a growth target of 8%. Accordingly, to achieve the economic growth target of 8% as set by the Central Government, Dak Lak province determined the specific growth scenario as follows: Gross domestic product (GRDP - at 2010 comparative prices) strives to reach over 68,425 billion VND, economic growth of 8% or more in each region as follows: Agriculture, forestry and fishery reaches over 24,930 billion VND, up 5.99%; Industry - construction reaches over 11,450 billion VND, up 12.04% (industry over 7,350 billion VND, up 12.87%, construction 4,100 billion VND, up 10.58%); Services reach over 29,550 billion VND, up 8.5%; Product tax (excluding product subsidies) reached VND2,495 billion, up 4.82%.

Compared with the targets and objectives submitted to the Provincial People's Council for approval in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND on targets and tasks for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2025, to achieve the above 8% growth scenario, it is necessary to adjust 06 socio-economic targets including:
Gross domestic product (GRDP - according to SS 2010) strives to reach over 68,425 billion VND, economic growth reaches 8% or more (an increase of 642 billion VND compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 67,783 billion VND), Economic scale (GRDP - current price) is about 159,506 billion VND, an increase of 12.86% compared to 2024 (an increase of 1,458 billion VND compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 158,048 billion VND).
Comrade Luu Van Khoi - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade reported on the growth potential of the industrial and commercial sectors.
Average GRDP per capita is about 81.7 million VND/person ( an increase of 0.75 million VND compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 80.92 billion VND ).
There are 4 targets in 2025 to continue to strive for, including: State budget revenue in the area strives to reach 9,550 billion VND, an increase of 10% compared to 2024 ( an increase of 550 billion VND compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 9,000 billion VND ) ; Total mobilized social investment capital is about 47,870 billion VND, accounting for 30% of total GRDP at current prices ( an increase of 5,570 billion VND compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 42,300 billion VND); Total export turnover reaches 1,860 million USD ( an increase of 160 million USD compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 1,700 million USD). Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the area reached 120,000 billion VND, up 8% ( up 10,000 billion VND compared to the target in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND - NQ: 110,000 billion VND).
Comrade Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on solutions for growth in the cultural and tourism sector.
According to the proposal of the Department of Planning and Investment, in addition to the tasks and solutions that have been identified and approved in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND on the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2025; to achieve the growth target of 8% or more, it is necessary to add key solutions such as: On direction, administration, institutions, and policy mechanisms; Mobilizing and effectively using resources; Attracting and forming new products and growth drivers; Expanding the market, increasing total consumer demand in the province; On developing science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, high-quality human resources;
The role of the private economic sector is maximized, the trust of businesses and people in the market is strengthened. New products and new growth drivers are formed; Department, industry and local leaders need to have new thinking, new ways of doing things, breakthrough solutions; innovate in leadership, management and implementation methods; streamline the apparatus, effectiveness and efficiency; leaders and staff have enough qualities and capacity to organize the implementation of growth targets to create synchronous changes in all fields....

At the meeting, leaders of the Department and industry discussed the potential resources to contribute to the growth of agricultural, service - tourism, industry - trade, public investment, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi requested the Departments and branches to continue to promote the sense of responsibility to better perform assigned tasks, unify the 8% growth scenario as proposed by the Department of Planning and Investment; make efforts to complete the new growth momentum so that localities can synchronously implement and achieve the set targets;
Assign the Department of Planning and Investment to continue reviewing statistics on public investment capital sources that play a leading role in socio-economic development, non-budgetary investment projects and monitor projects with problems in procedures, land... assign specific tasks to the Department and sector to take primary responsibility for resolving each project; Each sector and field has specific solutions to send to the Department of Planning and Investment to report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for direction.
Departments and branches are responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for monthly and quarterly statistics... focusing on finding resources and specifically determining the 8% growth scenario, detailing new growth drivers, key tasks and solutions, as a basis for submitting to the Provincial People's Council for approval of the Resolution adjusting the province's economic growth target for 2025 and adjusting related indicators is necessary, creating a solid foundation to achieve double-digit growth in the period 2026-2030.
