Proposed offshore wind power price frame in Ba Ria-Vung Tau is 3,865.5 VND/Kwh

Accordingly, the Southern region, represented by Ba Ria - Vung Tau, has a price of 3,868.5 VND/kWh; the Northern region, with potential locations in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Thai Binh, is estimated to have the highest electricity generation price of the three regions, at 3,975.1 VND/kWh; the South Central region is at a price of 3,078.9 VND/kWh.

EVN said that after the price framework is finalized and approved internally, the unit will submit a proposal to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to serve as a basis for issuing ceiling and floor prices for future offshore wind power projects. This is an important step to provide a basis for investors to plan their finances, access credit and negotiate power purchase agreements.
