Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong informed about the socio-economic development situation of Da Nang in 2023.
The goal by 2030 is to build Da Nang into one of the major socio-economic centers of the country and Southeast Asia, by 2045, the city will become a large, ecological and smart urban area; a center for startups, innovation and a livable coastal city of Asian stature.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee said that Da Nang attended many training programs and online seminars organized by CityNet.
Through participating in these events and seminars, relevant city departments and agencies accumulate valuable information, knowledge and experience in the areas of smart urban development that Da Nang is aiming for.
From the achieved results, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that CityNet continue to support Da Nang in sharing experiences, exchanging and proposing new and positive solutions to address challenges in the process of investment and sustainable urban development; experiences in implementing policies into practice in the urban sector in Asian cities.
At the same time, support Da Nang in building and calling for investors to be interested in and join the city in implementing the project of building a "Smart City" in the fields of electricity, water, transportation, medical and educational infrastructure.
CityNet Secretary General Jeong-Kee Kim said that as an official member of CityNet since 2005, Da Nang takes the opportunity to introduce and promote its image to CityNet members, while connecting cities in the region with other international organizations to solve emerging urban problems.
CityNet General Secretary invited the city leaders to attend the CityNet international forum conference which will take place in June 2024. At the same time, he committed to supporting Da Nang in connecting with units and cities that are members of CityNet to enhance cooperation and seek investors.
