Commenting on the new saltwater experimental area in Vinh Long, Mr. Koen de Heus (Senior CEO of De Heus Group) shared: "This new facility will enhance De Heus's aquaculture nutrition research capacity on a global scale. I believe that the new research system will help De Heus expand its market share, creating a springboard for development in both Vietnam and other countries in the region."
Accordingly, at the Vinh Long Aquaculture Research and Development (R&D) Center, De Heus has equipped two modern closed-loop experimental systems, allowing De Heus to evaluate the digestibility of raw materials, the effectiveness of functional ingredients, and research advanced nutritional solutions for shrimp and marine aquaculture species.

With a favorable geographical location in the central area of the Mekong Delta - a place with strengths in aquaculture development, Vinh Long Aquaculture Research and Development Center (R&D) is invested by De Heus Group with the most modern facilities in the country. On an area of 6 hectares, this center has 111 indoor test tanks, 25 outdoor test ponds, 2 wastewater treatment ponds and a series of other auxiliary works.
Thanks to the indoor and outdoor test pond system and modern machinery, De Heus allows to simulate as closely as possible the practical situations that customers may encounter in the market as well as to have the conditions to test new technologies and feed concepts.

In particular, with the addition of two closed-loop experimental systems for research on marine and shrimp farming, De Heus is confident in becoming one of the few companies with the most modern and comprehensive aquaculture R&D system today.

Along with the R&D Center, in the Mekong Delta region, De Heus Vietnam also owns 3 specialized aquatic feed factories (located in Vinh Long and Bac Lieu), with feed for catfish, tilapia, red tilapia, snakehead fish...; feed for frogs, shrimp and feed for marine fish.
