The Tuyen Quang 2 110kV power line and transformer station project, located in Group 7, My Lam Ward (Tuyen Quang City), has a scale of nearly 1 hectare, with a total investment of over 70 billion VND, invested by the Northern Power Corporation and assigned to the Power Grid Project Management Board to directly manage and operate the project. The project scale includes an operator house, 2 40MVA transformers, and 50m of 110kV power line.
The construction of the Tuyen Quang Power Company's Operation House at the new location in Group 8, Hung Thanh Ward (Tuyen Quang City) is being urgently accelerated.
Mr. Vu Tien Vinh, Supervisor of the Technical Infrastructure Development Investment Company, said that in order to speed up the progress of handing over the project to the investor for use, the company has mobilized vehicles, machinery, and human resources to implement the project. Currently, the unit is waiting for the day to cut off the power connection from the 110kV station of Thac Ba Hydropower Plant (Yen Bai) to the 110kV Tuyen Quang 2 station and line 2 of the 220kV Tuyen Quang station. The workload has been completed over 95% so far, and the unit is striving to hand over to the investor in December.
The 110kV Tuyen Quang 2 transformer station is invested in construction to ensure the criteria of a digital transformer station, equipped with a modern system, collecting, monitoring, measuring and remote control, surveillance camera system, automatic fire prevention and fighting. The transformer station is connected to the Remote Control Center, Tuyen Quang Power Company, meeting the criteria of Vietnam Electricity Group for a digital, unmanned, remote-controlled station.
The 110kV Tuyen Quang 2 Transformer Station project is being inspected by the construction unit in the final stages to hand over to the investor for operation.
Digital substations are the newest and most advanced technology available today, helping to optimize equipment operations, increase power supply reliability, and reduce maintenance costs thanks to intelligent systems that analyze data and provide repair and maintenance recommendations. In addition, digital substations also help reduce cable volume, cable trench size, and equipment size, thereby minimizing the substation area, contributing to optimizing construction time, investment costs, operation, and maintenance of the substation.
Mr. Tran Xuan Hien, Head of Tuyen Quang 2 110kV Transformer Station, said: Tuyen Quang 2 110kV Transformer Station is the first digital transformer station in the Northern Midlands and Mountains provinces, managed and operated by Tuyen Quang Electricity Company. The completion of the project will contribute to improving transmission capacity, meeting the demand for load development, strengthening grid connectivity, and improving the reliability of power supply in the My Lam tourist area and part of Tuyen Quang city.
The new location of the Tuyen Quang Electricity Company Production Operation House is being built at Group 8, Hung Thanh Ward (Tuyen Quang City) with 7 floors plus 1 attic, with a construction area of 900 m2 , and a floor area of 6,300 m2 .
Mr. Do Truong Giang, Head of Planning Department of Tuyen Quang Power Company said: In order to effectively carry out the project management task of the investor, the Project Management Board has proactively urged and reminded the contractor to focus on project implementation to ensure progress and limit time extension. In addition, it is also necessary to ensure construction quality, strict technical and aesthetic requirements, and full and strict compliance with regulations.

The team of officers and workers implementing the project always monitors, closely follows, and promptly handles arising issues... Currently, the construction unit is completing the construction of the gate, fence, installing the telecommunications and information technology system, and interior system. The project strives to be completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2025.
The completion of the Tuyen Quang Power Company Production Operation House will help improve the physical facilities of Tuyen Quang Power Company, gradually modernize production and business activities and customer services, and meet the working needs of the company's staff. Thereby, ensuring the supply of safe, stable and quality electricity for socio-economic development and national security and defense in the province.
