The Tuyen Quang 2 110kV power line and substation project, located in Group 7, My Lam Ward (Tuyen Quang City), covers an area of ​​nearly 1 hectare with a total investment of over 70 billion VND. The project is invested by the Northern Power Corporation and directly managed and operated by the Power Grid Project Management Board. The project includes an administration building, two 40MVA transformers, and 50 meters of 110kV power line.

Construction of the Tuyen Quang Power Company's new office building in Group 8, Hung Thanh Ward (Tuyen Quang City) is being expedited.

Mr. Vu Tien Vinh, a supervisor at the Infrastructure Development Investment Company, stated that to expedite the handover of the project to the investor for early use, the company has mobilized vehicles, machinery, and personnel to implement the project. Currently, the unit is awaiting the date for power disconnection and connection of the 110kV Thac Ba Hydropower Plant (Yen Bai) to the 110kV Tuyen Quang 2 substation and line number 2 of the 220kV Tuyen Quang substation. Over 95% of the work has been completed, and the unit is striving to hand over the project to the investor in December.

The 110kV Tuyen Quang 2 substation was constructed to meet the criteria of a digital substation, equipped with a modern system for data collection, monitoring, metering, and remote control, as well as a surveillance camera system and automatic fire extinguishing system. The substation is connected to the remote control center of Tuyen Quang Power Company, meeting the criteria of Vietnam Electricity Group for digital, unmanned, and remotely controlled substations.

The Tuyen Quang 2 110kV Substation project is currently undergoing final inspections by the construction unit before handover to the investor for operation.

Digital substations are the newest and most advanced technology available today, optimizing equipment operation, increasing power supply reliability, and reducing maintenance costs through intelligent systems that analyze data and provide repair and maintenance recommendations. In addition, digital substations reduce cable volume, cable trench size, and equipment dimensions, thereby minimizing substation footprint and optimizing construction time, investment costs, operation, and maintenance.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hien, Head of the Tuyen Quang 2 110kV Substation, said: The Tuyen Quang 2 110kV Substation is the first digital substation in the Northern Midlands and mountainous provinces, managed and operated by Tuyen Quang Power Company. The completion of this project will contribute to improving transmission capacity, meeting the growing demand for electricity, strengthening grid connectivity, and enhancing the reliability of electricity supply to the My Lam tourist area and a part of Tuyen Quang city.

The new Tuyen Quang Power Company's production management building, located at Group 8, Hung Thanh Ward (Tuyen Quang City), is under construction. It will have 7 floors plus an attic floor, with a construction area of ​​900 ^m² and a floor area of ​​6,300 ^m² .

Mr. Do Truong Giang, Head of the Planning Department of Tuyen Quang Power Company, said: In order to effectively manage the investor's project, the Project Management Board has proactively urged and reminded the contractor to focus on project implementation to ensure progress and minimize delays. In addition, they must ensure construction quality, strict technical and aesthetic requirements, and full and strict compliance with regulations.

The Tuyen Quang 2 110kV Substation, located in My Lam Ward (Tuyen Quang City), is the first digital substation in the Northern Midlands and mountainous provinces, managed and operated by Tuyen Quang Power Company.

The project team is constantly monitoring and promptly addressing any arising issues. Currently, the construction unit is completing the construction of the gate and fence, installing the telecommunications and information technology systems, and the interior design. The project aims to be completed and put into operation in the first quarter of 2025.

The completion of the Tuyen Quang Power Company's Production Management Building will help improve the company's infrastructure, gradually modernize its production, business operations, and customer service, and better meet the working needs of its employees. This will ensure a safe, stable, and high-quality electricity supply for socio-economic development and national defense and security in the province.
