On the afternoon of April 8, the working delegation of the National Steering Committee for Search, Collection and Identification of Martyrs' Remains (National Steering Committee 515) worked with the Military Command of Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City on the acceptance of data on the conclusion of the area and the map products for the search and collection of martyrs' remains.

The working delegation of the National Steering Committee 515 worked with the Military Command of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city.

According to the Quang Nam Provincial Military Command: Steering Committee 515 has received 110,049 information about martyrs. Through the information processing process, it was determined that the total number of martyrs initially buried in the province was 82,501, of which 40,545 were local people, the rest were martyrs of other units. Up to now, Quang Nam has searched for and gathered 71,774 martyrs, while 6,404 martyrs have not been searched for and gathered.

Although the Steering Committee 515 of Quang Nam province and all levels, sectors and localities have made efforts to speed up the progress, the work of searching, collecting and identifying the remains of martyrs has encountered many difficulties due to: the war ended nearly 50 years ago, so few people know about the places where soldiers were stationed and where martyrs were buried; the documents handed over to communes, wards and towns were damaged or lost due to natural disasters, storms and floods; some localities after the war had administrative divisions and mergers...

The Da Nang City Military Command said: according to statistics, the total number of martyrs initially buried in the area was 7,555 martyrs, currently 6,894 martyrs have been searched and gathered, 358 martyrs have not been searched and gathered and 303 martyrs have unknown information about their gathering.
