Strengthening propaganda on fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue in schools

Propagating knowledge and skills on fire prevention and escape when a fire occurs is a practical work to raise the sense of responsibility of the entire population in fire prevention and fighting and rescue work. With that meaning, Son La Provincial Police has coordinated with schools in the area to promote propaganda, experience and practice for cadres, teachers and students.

At Quyet Thang Secondary School, Son La City, more than 1,000 students and teachers participated in experiential and practical activities on fire prevention and rescue. Fire police officers informed about the fire situation, the causes of recent fires; instructed on some measures to ensure fire safety at home and school, how to handle fire incidents, and escape skills in fire conditions.

Student Le Nam Hai, class 8B, Quyet Thang Secondary School, Son La city: During today's extracurricular activity, I understood more about the work of firefighters. I really admire the firefighters because they did not hesitate to risk their lives to rush into the fire to save people.

Schools are crowded places, students are easily panicked when a fire or explosion occurs. Therefore, strengthening the organization of fire prevention and fighting propaganda here is of great significance, helping staff, teachers and students raise awareness of fire prevention and fighting, minimizing damage when a fire or explosion occurs. On March 15 and 16, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department simultaneously organized experiential and propaganda activities at schools across the province, attracting thousands of students and teachers to participate.

Mr. Vu Tien Hung, Vice Principal of Quyet Thang Secondary School, Son La City: The school's Board of Directors will direct teachers to integrate lessons so that students have soft skills and awareness of fire prevention and fighting so that they can apply them in their daily lives.

In the coming time, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department will continue to pay attention to propaganda work in schools, raising the sense of responsibility of each individual for ensuring fire safety in daily activities. From there, spread and promote the role and responsibility of each citizen, promote the movement of all people participating in fire prevention and fighting in the community and society./.
