At the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong informed about the implementation results of Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT dated December 30, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching, extra learning and preparation for early-level enrollment; high school graduation exam in 2025.

Representatives of press agencies and city departments and branches spoke out clearly about the propaganda plan to be implemented in April 2025, emphasizing the propaganda on the major orientations of the Central Government and Hanoi City on restructuring and streamlining the apparatus; promoting digital transformation and application of science and technology; propaganda on important holidays of the country and the Capital, especially the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025)...

Focus on promoting major orientations

After listening to the opinions and discussions of agencies and units, and giving instructions at the conference, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Nguyen Doan Toan commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Hanoi press agencies in closely following political tasks, seriously implementing the direction and orientation of the Central and the city; promptly and comprehensively informing political events, economic, cultural and social development results; outstanding direction and management activities of the leaders of the Party, State and Hanoi city.

Emphasizing the key tasks that need to be focused on promoting in April 2025, comrade Nguyen Doan Toan requested that press agencies focus on promoting a number of key tasks.

In particular, it is necessary to continue to focus on disseminating the implementation of the Party's directives and resolutions into life; the situation and results of the implementation of the tasks of rearranging and streamlining the political system apparatus under the direction of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat; Conclusion No. 137-KL/TU dated March 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat on the project to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units and build a model of organizing a 2-level local government; Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐTU dated March 21, 2025 on implementing the "Digital Education for the People" movement of the Central Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation; preparations for party congresses at all levels, towards the 18th Hanoi Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress, etc.

Emphasizing that the National Assembly will soon pass many important bills to implement the two-level local government model, the Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee suggested that press officials develop a propaganda plan that is easy to remember and understand, focusing on clarifying the benefits for the people and the business community when implementing the new model. Along with that, it is necessary to promptly have articles refuting false arguments, opposing the Party and the State; taking advantage of the new policy to commit illegal acts.

Comrade Nguyen Doan Toan also suggested that Hanoi press agencies should continue to promote the dissemination of articles by General Secretary To Lam; on practicing thrift and fighting waste, promptly spreading the news of localities and units that have done well in this task, along with promptly reflecting on the delay in implementing major projects in districts leading to waste of land resources.

In addition to strongly promoting the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, Hanoi press needs to clarify that this is an inevitable trend to bring the country and the capital firmly into a new era; it is necessary to focus on promoting this important policy to intellectuals, businesses and entrepreneurs.

Noting that the Prime Minister has set an economic growth target of over 8% in 2025, Comrade Nguyen Doan Toan requested the capital's press agencies to study the results achieved in the first quarter of 2025, invite economic experts and reputable journalists to write in-depth articles; thereby contributing to strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Central Government and the city in implementing socio-economic development tasks.

Regarding the organization of a high-point propaganda campaign on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Hanoi press agencies need to organize strong propaganda about the meeting between General Secretary To Lam and revolutionary veterans in Hanoi, thereby highlighting the contributions of the people and previous generations; affirming the attention of Party and State leaders to previous generations of revolutionaries.
