Within the framework of the 10th International Food Industry Exhibition, a conference was held to connect trade between Vietnamese and American businesses.
The conference is an important event within the framework of the 10th International Food Industry Exhibition (Vietnam Foodexpo 2024) organized by the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) from November 13 to 16, 2024. This event attracted the participation of nearly 100 Vietnamese enterprises and representatives from American countries.
According to statistics, Vietnam's export turnover to the American market in 2023 reached 114.5 billion USD, showing that the potential for trade cooperation is still very large. This event has contributed to promoting economic and trade relations between the two regions, creating favorable conditions for businesses to develop sustainably.

According to the Trade Promotion Agency, the conference aims to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the Americas, creating opportunities for businesses from both sides to meet, exchange and seek cooperation opportunities. At the conference, delegates reported on the trade situation between Vietnam and the Americas, introduced the investment and business environment, and held business connection sessions between businesses from both sides.
At this event, Vietnamese businesses had the opportunity to introduce their potential, products and services to the American market. In addition, experts also shared market trends and potential cooperation opportunities between the two sides. Direct business networking sessions were organized to promote businesses to find partners and sign cooperation agreements.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Le Hoang Tai - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) informed about the achievements recorded in bilateral trade relations between Vietnam and the Americas in recent times, as well as the great potential for cooperation in areas such as agriculture, technology and services. "This conference is an important opportunity for Vietnamese and American businesses to meet, exchange and build long-term cooperative relationships. We expect this event to contribute to promoting two-way trade turnover and promoting investment between the two regions," Mr. Le Hoang Tai emphasized.

Attending the conference, representatives of Vietnamese and American businesses expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange and find new partners. Many key Vietnamese products such as textiles, electronics, and agricultural products were introduced to international partners, bringing many new export opportunities.
Along with that, a number of cooperation agreements have been considered for signing, promising to open up new business cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and American countries in the coming time.
The conference on connecting trade between Vietnamese and American enterprises has recorded many remarkable successes, opening up many prospects for the development of enterprises in the context of international economic integration. On the morning of November 13, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) - District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2024 - Vietnam Foodexpo 2024 opened. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang attended and cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.
