Promoting the connection of tourist cities in Vietnam with the TPO network

On March 28 in Hanoi, the Hanoi Department of Tourism coordinated with the Secretariat of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) to organize the Regional Conference of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) in 2025.

This is the event Annual Update information on TPO activities and programs , At the same time, it creates conditions for members in Vietnam to exchange experiences in tourism management and development.

Expressing her delight at having the opportunity to meet many representatives of TPO member organizations in Vietnam and important organizations such as the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and related parties, Ms. Kang Da-eun - Secretary General of TPO shared: This conference is an extremely important opportunity to enhance the position and presence of Vietnamese tourist cities in the international network. This is also an opportunity for TPO members to share their views and experiences on destination development, as well as discuss criteria and standards to improve the quality and competitiveness of destinations in the region.

According to Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang, this conference vividly demonstrates the friendship, solidarity, and good cooperative relationship for a common goal of developing the smokeless industry while promoting cooperation between TPO member cities in Vietnam and expanding opportunities for cooperation with international member cities, contributing to improving the effectiveness of tourism promotion in the region and the world .

" In recent times, Hanoi has focused resources to increase promotion in key markets, of which Korea is one of the major potential markets. Hanoi's tourism products are very suitable for this market such as: golf tourism, resort tourism, MICE tourism, cultural and historical tourism... Therefore, Hanoi city also hopes that the TPO Secretariat will have more practical activities to enhance the connection between Korean cities and Vietnamese cities . Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu affirmed: "TPO is an extremely effective global initiative, contributing to connecting major cities and tourist destinations in the region, including prominent tourist centers such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat (Lam Dong), Hue, Da Nang... These are attractive destinations, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnamese tourism on the regional and world map".

The conference heard three presentations from speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Long - Head of Tourism Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Ms. Huynh Thi Mai Thy - Vietnam Market Manager - Traveloka Representative; grandfather Nguyen Van Phuong - Vice Chairman of Hong Van Commune People's Committee , Deputy Head of Tourist Area Management Board Hong Van calendar. The content of the presentations revolves around the topic "Shaping unique tourism products: Increasing the attractiveness of Vietnamese cities" focuses on discussing strategies for developing creative tourism products, creating highlights to attract international visitors and enhancing the competitiveness of TPO member cities.

On the sidelines of the Conference , delegates visited the exhibition area, introducing Hanoi tourism in the Conference premises, introducing products, publications, Hanoi tourism gifts, outstanding OCOP products of the Capital serving tourism.... Also on this occasion, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in the city tour program to visit Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Museum of Ethnology and survey some tourist attractions in Hanoi.
