Early Spring experience the traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities

In order to contribute to introducing and promoting the value of unique traditional cultural heritages across the country, traditional cultural heritages of ethnic minorities in Kon Tum province, from February 4-7, Kon Tum Provincial Museum - Library organized a performance and experience of traditional cultural heritages in the Spring of At Ty 2025.

In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first days of Spring At Ty, people in Kon Tum and tourists came to the space of the Provincial Museum - Library to watch the unique cultural performances of ethnic minorities living in Kon Tum province.

Meritorious artist A Thu (Xo Dang ethnic group) shared: The artisan team of Dak Ro Gia village, Dak Tram commune, Dak To district is very happy to come to Kon Tum Provincial Museum - Library to perform for tourists. The team has 9 members and performs a gong ensemble, to rung zither, klong put zither and lithophone with the following performances: Pounding rice on a moonlit night, New Rice Celebration, Water Trough Making Ceremony... We feel very excited because we can introduce the traditional cultural values ​​of the Xo Dang people to the people and tourists.

Muong ethnic group artists from Dak Kan commune, Ngoc Hoi district perform traditional bamboo dance

Coming to the performance and experience of traditional cultural heritage of the Spring of At Ty, the Muong ethnic group of artisans from Dak Kan commune, Ngoc Hoi district participated in the traditional bamboo dance and xoe dance of the ethnic group. In the warm atmosphere of the first days of Spring, the artisans and visitors joined hands to dance with rhythmic and graceful movements, combined with the sound of bamboo sticks, creating a joyful, vibrant and united atmosphere.

Ms. Bui Thi Dung (Muong ethnic group), Dak Kan commune, Ngoc Hoi district said: Bamboo dancing and xoe dancing are a unique and characteristic cultural feature of the Muong people, both a form of folk performance with entertainment and community bonding, and a dance closely associated with daily life. Through this performance, the Muong ethnic group wants to send a message of solidarity and unity in the ethnic community to everyone watching.

Kon Tum people and tourists enjoy watching Binh Dinh traditional martial arts performance

The performance and experience of traditional cultural heritage of the Spring of At Ty 2025 takes place from February 4-7. In addition to experiencing the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities, Kon Tum people and tourists can also watch the performance of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts; Lion and Dragon dance; experience folk games such as: Walking on seesaw, walking on monkey rope bridge, blindfolded pot smashing, throwing balls, walking on stilts...

Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan, Quyet Thang Ward, Kon Tum City said: In early spring, my family and I came to participate in experiential activities at the Provincial Museum - Library. Coming here, we learned more about the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in Kon Tum, watched traditional Binh Dinh martial arts, watched lion dances and especially participated in very interesting folk games.

Kon Tum people and tourists can also watch special lion and dragon dance performances.

Kon Tum province has 43 ethnic groups living together and possesses an extremely rich and vibrant folk culture. Organizing cultural heritage performances and experiences during the Spring of At Ty is an opportunity for people and tourists to better understand the unique traditional cultural values ​​of the nation.

Through that, it contributes to introducing and promoting the unique traditional cultural heritages of ethnic groups and creating a joyful, exciting atmosphere, a healthy cultural environment for people and tourists on the occasion of the New Year.

This is also an opportunity for artisans to meet, exchange and share experiences in performing, preserving and promoting the value of the nation's traditional cultural heritage.
