Investing in building new traffic projects, overcoming traffic jams and congestion on Long Xuyen bypass

A team of engineers and workers are working urgently at the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction site.

In addition, component project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project has a route plan parallel to National Highway 91. Currently, the project has started construction in June 2023, is under construction and is expected to be completed in June 2026.

Once completed, these projects will basically resolve and overcome traffic jams and congestion on the Long Xuyen bypass and on National Highway 91.

On holidays and weekends, to limit traffic congestion, vehicles traveling from Chau Doc City to Long Xuyen City, going to Vam Cong Bridge can follow 2 routes: From Chau Doc City, take National Highway 91 to Long Xuyen bypass to Vam Cong Bridge. From Chau Doc City, take National Highway 91 to Km 98+750 in Vinh Thanh Trung Town (Chau Phu District), turn right onto Provincial Road 945, go straight across Mac Can Dung Bridge towards Thoai Son District to the new Ba The Bridge, turn onto Provincial Road 943 to Long Xuyen City, cross Muong Khai Lon Bridge, reach Long Xuyen Bridge, turn right onto Long Xuyen bypass to Vam Cong Bridge.
