Investing 138 billion VND in Air Traffic Control Tower at Dong Hoi Airport

The Dong Hoi Air Traffic Control Tower project and auxiliary items are implemented by Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation - LLC (headquartered at 6/200, Nguyen Son Street, Bo De Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi City).

The project aims to build a new air traffic control station with beautiful, impressive architecture, meeting standards, ensuring visibility of key locations, meeting the requirements of safe flight operations, regulating and effectively operating flights at Dong Hoi Airport.

The project is located at Dong Hoi Airport (Loc Ninh Commune, Dong Hoi City), with an area of 7,600m². The main items include: High-altitude air traffic control tower, command tower, flight operations house... and other auxiliary works. Regarding progress, the project will complete land allocation and lease procedures in the fourth quarter of 2025, and complete and put the project into operation in the third quarter of 2026.

According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, within 24 months, if the investor fails to complete the procedures to lease land to implement the project as prescribed or within 6 months fails to complete the obligation to deposit to ensure the implementation of the investment project, the decision approving the investment policy will no longer be legally valid; the investor will not be compensated or supported for any invested funds or costs related to the project.

It is known that Dong Hoi Airport is currently urgently implementing the project to build Passenger Terminal T2 and expand the aircraft parking lot, invested by Vietnam Airports Corporation - JSC (ACV) with construction items: Passenger Terminal T2 and auxiliary items with a capacity of 3 million passengers/year, exploiting domestic passengers. Constructing 4 new aircraft parking positions, increasing the total parking positions to 8 positions. The project has a total investment of more than 1,844 billion VND; total land use area of more than 15 hectares.
