Accordingly, there were 9 members winning the bid with a total winning volume of 79 lots (7,900 taels). The only winning bid price was 89.42 million VND/tael.
The winning bid price in this session was 0.82 million VND higher than the reference price for calculating the deposit that the State Bank gave before the session (88.6 million VND/tael).
At this morning's auction, the State Bank of Vietnam kept the volume of gold bars offered as usual at 16,800 taels. The minimum and maximum volumes were also maintained as in the two recent successful auctions, at 5 lots (500 taels) and 40 lots (4,000 taels), respectively.
Each bidder may only register a minimum price equal to or higher than the reference price.
Previously, the most recent auction took place on May 16, the amount of SJC gold bars won the bid reaching a record 12,300 taels when 11 members participated in the auction. The highest successful bid was 88.92 million VND/tael, and the lowest successful bid was 88.89 million VND/tael.
Thus, from April 19 to now, the State Bank has organized 8 auctions to sell SJC gold bars with a total winning volume of 35,100 taels.
The State Bank of Vietnam plans to continue auctioning gold bars on May 23.
Regarding the domestic gold price, at 9:00 a.m. this morning, May 21, the price of SJC 9999 gold decreased by another 300,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling prices, to 90.5 million VND/tael (selling).
