Exactly 46 years ago, on September 20, 1977, Vietnam officially joined the United Nations. For nearly half a century, Vietnam has been considered one of the indispensable members of the world's largest multilateral organization, fulfilling many outstanding roles, serving as a bridge, and being a prime example for many countries to emulate.
