The song, performed by Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung and arranged by musician Duc Thuy, brings listeners back to their beloved memories, back to their roots and evokes national pride. Dat oi no hoa has a lyrical folk melody, using simple, familiar images such as the sound of the monochord, lullabies, folk songs, a bowl of rice water... to express the deep connection between people and the land, between the past and the present.
The song's structure consists of four parts: the opening part is the continuation of Vietnamese cultural traditions; the transition part recalls childhood memories and the image of a hard-working mother; the climax of the song expresses an optimistic atmosphere and spirit of national solidarity; the ending is an explosion of emotions with the refrain "we love our country" which is "blossoming", symbolizing development and a bright future.
Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, who has successfully performed many songs by musician Nguyen Thanh Trung, expressed his deep admiration for the musical “fate” between the two. He felt that in each work were the musician’s constant concerns when writing melodies and lyrics that touched the depths of life, especially feelings of gratitude and pride for family and the changing homeland. According to him, it is the connection between the past, present and future that has created a seamless flow of empathy between the author, the performer and the audience.
Musician Nguyen Thanh Trung shared that he wanted to convey in “Dat oi no hoa” a deep love for the country, expressing his belief in the nation’s longevity and development. The song will be performed in the art and political program Khuc ca khai trien of the Voice of Vietnam , taking place at 8:00 p.m. on April 25 at the Hanoi Opera House and broadcast live on television and radio.
