“Oh land, bloom” - a song celebrating 50 years of national reunification

“Dat oi hoa” – the new song by musician Nguyen Thanh Trung is like a heartfelt message of gratitude to the homeland, the country, and the mother in the proud days of April, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The song “Dat oi no hoa” consists of 4 parts. The opening part shows the inheritance and continuation of tradition, carrying the depth of Vietnamese culture. The transition part evokes childhood memories through the image of a hard-working mother “the rice fields ripen quickly, the smiles of children”.

At the end, the musician pushes the listeners' emotions when emphasizing the refrain "I love my country" with love for the blooming country - a metaphor for development, prosperity and a bright future.

“Dat oi no hoa” by musician Nguyen Thanh Trung is written in the folk lyrical genre, arranged by musician Duc Thuy, with the sound of the monochord throughout the song. Musician Nguyen Thanh Trung shared that he put many symbolic images of the country into the song with the intention of creating a living organism that can converse and love. Each sentence seems to contain the Vietnamese soul, told in a poetic and musical language that is gentle but profound, rustic but rich in inner strength.

For musician Nguyen Thanh Trung, “Dat oi no hoa” is not only a song expressing patriotism but also a vivid picture of the Vietnamese homeland, from tradition to modernity, expressing a firm belief in the bright future of the nation.

The song “Dat oi no hoa” will be performed by Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung in the art and political program “Khuc ca khai trien” of Voice of Vietnam taking place at 8:00 p.m. on April 25 at the Hanoi Opera House, broadcast live on VOV1, VOV3 channels and live on VTV2 channel.
