A Country Full of Joy – An Epic of Art

(HTV) - The art program "The Country is Full of Joy" took place at Thong Nhat Hall on the evening of April 20, leaving behind many emotions, recreating the nation's heroic 50-year journey since the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

Continuing the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the evening of April 20, at the Reunification Hall (Ho Chi Minh City), the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense directed the organization of a special art program called "The Country is Full of Joy". With large-scale investment, elaborate staging and emotional content, the program left a deep impression on the audience.

Attending the program were General Secretary To Lam, leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces, heroes of labor and many people from all walks of life.

With 19 unique art performances, the program vividly recreated the nation's historical journey - from the years when the country was still divided, to the great spring victory in 1975, then the post-war reconstruction period, the strong renovation and integration on the path of development. The program's structure includes three chapters: "Aspiration for unification", "Aspiration for rising up" and "Aspiration for strength", performed by more than 1,000 artists, singers and actors from many units inside and outside the army.

Each performance is a slice of emotion, honoring the spirit of solidarity, courage and resilience of the Vietnamese people in all circumstances. Not only reflecting the glorious past, the program also depicts the image of a peaceful, developed Vietnam, imbued with national identity and aspiration to rise strongly in the new era.

“The Country is Full of Joy” is not only an art program, but also an affirmation of strong belief in the future of the country. That is also the spirit of Ho Chi Minh City – a place that has risen from hardship to become the leading economic and cultural center of the country over the past 50 years.
