Coming to the Festivals, Vietnamese consumers will have the opportunity to visit, shop, and enjoy typical products of Korea and the Wando region such as seaweed, abalone, needle leaves, instant noodles, etc.
Sharing at the Festival opening ceremony, Mr. Shin Yong Hwa, General Director of K&K Global Trading Co., Ltd. said that K&K products are present in many countries around the world, including Vietnam.
"Through this Festival, I hope that more Vietnamese consumers will know about Wando Island's typical products, from abalone to seaweed and high-quality Korean agricultural products," said Mr. Shin Yong Hwa.
Mr. Shin Yong Hwa added that Wando is a county in Jeollanam Province - named after Wando Island, the largest island in the county. Wando Island is one of the six largest islands in Korea. The southwest of Wando Island has rocky beaches, reefs, and stable currents, so the aquatic resources here are very rich and nutritious.
Wando Island's cuisine is very diverse, the most typical of which are needle leaves, seaweed leaves and seaweed noodles, seaweed noodles... Wando sea area is famous for its clean and clear seawater, suitable for growing the best quality seaweeds and algae, providing high nutritional value.
After being harvested, seaweeds will be cleaned and processed into many different dishes such as seaweed rolls, instant seaweed seasoning, dried moss, seaweed soup, kelp... or combined to create delicious, nutritious noodles.
Wando Food Festival (Korea) is taking place at K-Market from July 12-31.
