La passion de Dodin Bouffant , adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Marcel Rouff, tells the love story between young kitchen maid Eugenie, played by actress Juliette Binoche, who works alongside famous chef Dodin, played by actor Benoit Magimel.

During 20 years of working together, they developed a deep affection stemming from their shared love of culinary arts.

Together, they created many special dishes that amazed diners. However, in the end, Eugenie, always wanting to be free, refused to marry Dodin. The famous chef decided to give her the gift of a private meal.
