(Dan Tri) - In the MV "Cheo Moi Lai Ra", director Pham Vinh Khuong restored cultural and historical images using AI (artificial intelligence) to create more vivid footage.
Recently, director Pham Vinh Khuong released a new version of the MV "Cheo Moi Lai" with sound and images created by AI, surprising many people.

In this MV, the director cleverly recreated historical and cultural images using artificial intelligence, while incorporating valuable documents from the military.
In addition, Vinh Khuong also used AI to combine traditional Cheo and Epic music (a music genre with strong, vibrant and emotional sounds) between transitions in the MV.
With this MV, Pham Vinh Khuong not only wants to bring Cheo closer to the public, but also wants to honor the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
"Cheo is a genre that is picky about its audience, so I was determined to find a way to make the audience feel attracted to this genre. By operating AI images combined with contextual sounds, the MV can touch the audience's emotions in the most natural way," director Pham Vinh Khuong shared.
Talking about the difficulties of making a music video using artificial intelligence, the male director said that although technology is increasingly developing, creating high-quality content requires AI to have a large amount of data and be trained proficiently.
According to him, AI-generated videos can lack naturalness, be buggy, or not be as lively as human-produced videos.
“AI can generate content based on pre-existing rules or templates, but it still lacks creativity, and cannot bring innovation, emotion, or depth the way humans can.
Although AI saves time to some extent, processing, editing, and optimizing videos generated from AI can still be time-consuming and require more computation. Moreover, the copyright issue of AI is also carefully considered by users," said Pham Vinh Khuong.
When making a Cheo MV using artificial intelligence, Pham Vinh Khuong found that audiences prefer listening to Cheo with reasonable sound and story arrangements.

The male director believes that current artificial intelligence tools can support artists in the process of making films and music videos, from scripts, sound, to post-production.
So, he took advantage of these tools to optimize the workflow, helping to minimize costs and time in production while still maintaining quality and image.
"From creating scenarios, AI can analyze millions of data to come up with suggestions and story structures. This not only saves time but also creates richer and more creative scenarios," Vinh Khuong confided.
Director Pham Vinh Khuong was born in 1992 in Ho Chi Minh City. Before the MV "Cheo Moi Lai Ra" , he made the MV "Bac Tranh Dai Viet" , honoring the cultural, historical and national values of Vietnam, or " Tieu Trang" - an AI music product promoting child protection, and "Mat Bao" - an AI music product for people in flood-affected areas.
Most recently, he released a 3D animated music video entirely powered by AI, lasting over 4 minutes. He is one of the pioneers in using AI to create films in this field.
