Director Nguyen Quang Dung is out of danger

"Returning from the brink of life and death, I only see love!" - director Nguyen Quang Dung began the post on his personal page with an emotional status.

According to the sharing, in mid-March, during a normal working session, the director suddenly felt chest tightness and hot flashes after attending 3 consecutive meetings. Initially, he subjectively thought that it was just a symptom due to eating hot food, drinking too much coffee or playing golf after a long time without practicing.

"Every year I go for a general check-up and the results are not alarming, but this year I'm a bit busy and lazy so I haven't had a check-up all year," he admitted.

When the chest pain returned in the evening, the director decided to wait until the next morning to go to the doctor as scheduled. At the hospital, the doctors discovered that his cardiac enzyme index was very high, diagnosing acute coronary syndrome and acute myocardial infarction. The results of the coronary angiogram showed that one major blood vessel supplying the heart was completely blocked, and the other two were also narrowed.

Nguyen Quang Dung had a stent placed directly by Prof. Dr. Vo Thanh Nhan to clear the blood vessels. The intervention lasted more than 1 hour and he was completely conscious because he was only given anesthesia.

After 3 days of hospitalization, the director's health has gradually stabilized. He expressed his gratitude to the medical team who helped him overcome the critical condition as well as the support from the state health insurance and private insurance in paying for the treatment costs.

"This time crossing the line between life and death made me grateful for the love of my family and loved ones who are always by my side every important second and minute. When I was on the line between life and death, I could only feel all the love in this life," the director wrote.

Nguyen Quang Dung said he plans to make a longer and more detailed vlog about this experience, and at the same time advises people not to be subjective about their health.
