Up to now, 5G waves are being expanded by network operators in many provinces and cities across the country. In recent days, many users have reported that their phones suddenly caught 5G waves even though they had not registered for a service package. However, this has made some users feel worried. Many users have expressed concerns about whether or not the phone automatically catches 5G waves as above. Talking to Dan Tri reporters, a Viettel representative said that even when a user's phone automatically receives 5G waves, the device is actually still operating according to the current package. This means that data will be calculated according to the 4G package that the user previously registered for. "Viettel designs its packages in a way that does not distinguish between 4G or 5G infrastructure. The 5G package system is a continuation of 4G, supporting faster access speeds, along with many other services such as cloud or TV360," said a Viettel representative.

Currently, Viettel is deploying many different 5G packages, for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers. In particular, with the lowest priced 5G package starting at VND135,000, users will receive 4GB/day of mobile data, as well as free TV360 movie library and 20GB of Mybox storage. Meanwhile, a representative of Vinaphone network said that the unit is deploying a free 5G experience program. When operating in areas with 5G waves, VinaPhone subscribers will receive a notification message inviting them to experience the service for free. During the period from October 13 to November 15, VinaPhone customers who already have a 5G phone while in a 5G coverage area will receive 50GB of data with a usage period of 30 days.
