(NLĐO) - The security investigation agency is focusing on investigating and individualizing the criminal responsibility of individuals involved in the case at Cong Minh Greenery Company.

On the afternoon of December 7th, at the regular government press conference, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security , answered questions about the investigation process of several major cases of public interest, including the Cong Minh Greenery Company case.

According to Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, several cases related to Phuc Son Group and Thuan An Group are currently being investigated urgently and actively by the investigative agencies, and there is no further information available at this time.

Regarding the Cong Minh Greenery Company case, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security stated that the security investigation agency initiated the case on May 8th, but has not yet charged any suspects. The security investigation agency has sent 413 projects to the Valuation Councils of 16 provinces for appraisal; one province has already issued its conclusion, while several provinces are requesting extensions of the deadline.

The security investigation agency is continuing to coordinate and implement measures, while focusing on investigating and individualizing the criminal responsibility of the individuals involved, and handling the matter according to the law.

Previously, at a press conference of the Ministry of Public Security in October 2024, Colonel Nguyen Tuan Hung, Deputy Director of the Security Investigation Department, Ministry of Public Security (A09), stated that on May 8, 2024, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security initiated a criminal case for "Violation of regulations on bidding causing serious consequences, giving and receiving bribes" occurring at Cong Minh Greenery Company Limited and in various provinces and cities.

Regarding the investigation results, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security determined that Cong Minh Company colluded with investors to participate in setting the bid prices from the project planning stage.

After the contract price is approved, Cong Minh Company will be designated as the winning bidder or will use other legal entities within Cong Minh Company's system to participate in the bidding process and win the bid.

The review results show that approximately 50 companies within the Cong Minh Company ecosystem participated in bidding for over 600 tenders in various localities, totaling more than 3,500 billion VND; 3,000 billion VND has already been paid. The Security Investigation Agency is focusing on investigating and clarifying the responsibilities of individuals and organizations involved, handling the matter according to regulations, determining the damages caused, and recovering the funds for the state.
