Co Le Town Party Committee focuses on leading socio-economic development

Comrade Duong Van Huu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Co Le town, said: The Party Committee of the town has focused on leading socio-economic development with many specific resolutions, suitable to the characteristics of the situation, promoting the internal strength of the locality. The People's Committee of the town and departments, branches and organizations have actively propagated and mobilized people to change the structure of crops and livestock; applied science and technology, introduced new, high-yield and high-quality plants and breeds into production. Implementing the project of restructuring the agricultural sector, every year closely following the direction of the District People's Committee, the People's Committee of the town builds a seed structure and crop calendar suitable to the actual situation in the locality, promoting mechanization in production. The town's agricultural production has developed towards commodities, the annual rice cultivation area is maintained at 118.57 hectares; the annual crop planting area is 43.37 hectares, mainly growing flowers and ornamental plants, averaging 115 million VND/ha/year. The aquaculture area is 45.1 hectares, forming many intensive farming models, bringing high economic value, the aquaculture output reaches 140 tons/year, the average aquaculture value reaches 4.6 billion VND/year. In addition, in the town area, dozens of farm and ranch models have been formed and expanded with high-value livestock to meet market demand. Currently, the total herd of livestock and poultry reaches nearly 12 thousand heads, the value of the livestock industry reaches an average of 7.9 billion VND/year.

In developing small-scale industrial production and trade services, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the town have directed and proposed many mechanisms to encourage households to invest in developing production and business, creating jobs and increasing income for workers. Up to now, there are 67 enterprises operating in many fields in the town. Of which, Co Le industrial cluster has 20 enterprises; outside the industrial cluster there are 47 enterprises; there are 87 production and business establishments, with more than 390 workers, the main production industries are: mechanics, industrial sewing, weaving, processing and manufacturing of wooden furniture, manufacturing of construction materials..., the average income of workers reaches 8-9 million VND/person/month. In addition, trade and service activities have developed vigorously with 11 enterprises, 1,050 establishments and business households, creating jobs for 5,000 workers. The traditional craft village "Moc Kenh" is maintained and developed. The total annual commercial and service production value of the town reaches 894.9 billion VND... Thanks to economic development, the rate of poor households not covered by social protection policies in the town has now decreased to 0.07%; average income per capita reaches 120 million VND/year.

With economic development, the town has the conditions to invest in building infrastructure works to serve socio-economic development, gradually perfecting the criteria for urban civilization and the criteria for advanced and exemplary new rural areas. Since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the town has implemented many projects to build and upgrade infrastructure such as: embankment of canals HN, HN23, HN21, CC5, HN17a, HN15b with a total length of 18.8km; upgrading 9 cultural houses in residential groups; building new kindergartens in the town; expanding and pouring new concrete on main roads in residential groups with a total length of 14.8km and 6.3km of lighting lines; upgrading sidewalks in the central area, with a total investment value of infrastructure construction in the area of ​​248.2 billion VND. Urban beautification work has been focused on and implemented effectively. In particular, cases of encroachment on roadsides, sidewalks, canopies, and illegal billboards have been thoroughly handled; sidewalks have been renovated and upgraded, and trees have been planted. Environmental management and protection work has been directed and implemented; the quality of clean water service has been improved, with good quality and 100% of the population using it. Waste collection and treatment has been put into order, a service contract has been signed with Truc Ninh Environmental Company for regular collection and treatment by incinerator with a capacity of 2,000 kg/hour, ensuring compliance with national standards, with a collection and treatment rate of over 95%; used pesticide packaging is gathered, collected, and treated according to regulations. People's material and spiritual life has been improved, cultural, artistic, and sports activities have developed strongly, and the landscape has been kept green - clean - beautiful. Political security is stable, national defense and security are maintained, social order and safety are ensured. Up to now, 9/9 residential groups, health stations and 3/3 schools have been recognized as cultural units at the district and provincial levels; 90% of families have achieved cultural lifestyles. Schools have been recognized as meeting national standards; green - clean - beautiful, safe schools and are among the leading schools in the district, the rate of people participating in health insurance is 95%. According to the results of the assessment and analysis of the quality of party members and grassroots party organizations, the Party Committee has 97.42% of party members completing their tasks well and excellently, 0.96% of party members completing their tasks. In October 2024, the People's Committee of Truc Ninh district recognized Co Le town as meeting civilized urban standards.

In the coming time, the Party Committee of Co Le town will continue to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members; the operational efficiency of mass organizations; promote the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members at the grassroots level in propagating and mobilizing people to develop the economy in the direction of commodity production, building a prosperous and happy life.
