Department of Health Party Committee: Focus on creating resources and developing party members - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- Developing party members is one of the important tasks in Party building. Realizing this, in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Health and its affiliated party organizations have implemented many solutions to develop party members. Thereby, in the past term, the party organizations under the Party Committee of the Department of Health have admitted 54 party members, reaching 135% of the target set by the congress resolution for the 2020-2025 term.

The Party Committee of the Department of Health currently has 10 branches and affiliated Party Committees (including: Party Committee of the Center for Disease Control; Party Committee of the General Social Protection Facility; Party Committee of the Department Office and 7 Party Committees of affiliated units at the provincial level), with a total of 328 Party members. During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Health has set a specific target of "Strive to admit 40 or more new Party members during the term". To achieve the above results, from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Health and its affiliated branches and Party Committees have implemented many synchronous and effective solutions.

Mr. Nguyen The Toan, Party Secretary and Director of the Department of Health, said: The Party Committee of the Department of Health has developed a plan, issued specific guidance documents and implemented them to 100% of its branches and affiliated party committees. In which, it reviews and assigns specific targets to each unit based on reality. At the same time, assigns members of the Party Executive Committee to monitor and guide the implementation of party member development at the assigned party cell; thoroughly grasps and raises awareness and responsibility of party committees, party organizations, cadres and party members for the work of party member development, clearly identifies the work of party member development as a key and regular task in party building work; takes the results of implementing the target of admitting party members as one of the important criteria for reviewing, evaluating and classifying at the end of the year for party committees, party organizations and individual leaders.

Accordingly, the Party Committee of the Department of Health has thoroughly grasped the Party's policies and viewpoints on the work of developing Party members; documents guiding the professional work of Party building so that Party committees and Party members at all levels can grasp and properly implement the regulations. On that basis, Party organizations, agencies and units have done a good job of political and ideological education, so that civil servants, public employees, workers and union members (youth and trade unions) can raise their awareness, strive and train to be in the Party ranks.

Through the activities of organizations, agencies, units and the results of annual review and assessment of the quality of cadres and civil servants, Party cells select outstanding people to attend training courses on Party awareness. At the same time, Party cells assign Party members to monitor and help the people.

Doctor Trieu Quang Phu, Party Cell Secretary and Director of the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital, said: In order to create a source for developing party members, the Party Cell has based on the results of work and movement activities to review and discover outstanding masses, assign party members to accompany and train young cadres to both improve their professional expertise and practice political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle. During the 2020-2025 term, the unit has developed 12 new party members, reaching 109% of the target.

In addition, organizing emulation movements and campaigns such as "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; "Young doctors follow Uncle Ho's words"... has created a favorable environment for young doctors to practice, contribute and assert themselves, which is a source of quality party development for party cells.

With synchronous solutions, the work of developing party members in the provincial health sector has achieved positive results, contributing to increasing the source of staff at the grassroots level, creating an important foundation to improve the quality of health services, better meeting the health care needs of the people.

To achieve the 2025 target of admitting 15 new Party members, the units continue to create a favorable environment for doctors, nurses, and medical staff to maximize their capacity, train, and strive to join the Party.
