Agribank Party Committee: Successfully implementing the model congress, towards the 2025-2030 term

The congress is proactive, methodical, and on schedule.

Implementing Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo and the plan of the higher-level Party Committee, the Agribank Party Committee has proactively developed a plan to organize the Congress early. Specifically, Plan No. 66-KH/DU was issued in September 2024, along with detailed instructions, helping to ensure consistency throughout the system.

To support the organization, Agribank established 3 Sub-Committees and 20 Steering Groups at Party cells and grassroots Party committees. The development of a manual also helps units to properly implement the process. Thanks to that, as of March 28, 2025, more than 1,500 out of 1,571 affiliated Party cells have successfully organized Congresses, meeting the set requirements.

Comrade Pham Toan Vuong, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Party Committee and General Director of Agribank, emphasized: The organization of this Congress is not only aimed at an important political event but also lays the foundation for the long-term development of Agribank.

Transparent and quality human resource preparation

One of the most important contents of the Congress is personnel work. The Agribank Party Committee clearly defines the criteria for selecting cadres with the qualities, capacity and prestige to lead the Party organization in the new term.

Comrade Tran Van Thinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Agribank Party Committee, said: Agribank thoroughly adheres to the principles of publicity and transparency in personnel selection. In addition to assessing staff capacity, the bank also focuses on innovation, creativity, sense of responsibility and the ability to adapt to changes in the context of digital transformation.

In addition, the work of drafting documents for the Congress was also carried out carefully. The documents not only accurately reflected the actual situation but also proposed feasible development directions suitable for each subordinate unit. The Party Committee also especially encouraged Party cells to contribute their opinions to the documents of the higher-level Party Committee and the 14th National Party Congress.

Agribank leaders said: In the context of celebrating many important events of the country and entering a new era of development, the Agribank Party Committee clearly identifies key tasks in the coming time.

Accordingly, the bank will continue to improve its organizational structure, ensuring streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency. It will innovate leadership methods, strengthen discipline and responsibility throughout the system.

Agribank promotes the application of science and technology, promotes digital transformation, develops green banking, and improves competitiveness.

The bank successfully organized the 11th Agribank Party Congress, moving towards comprehensively completing the goals for the 2025-2030 term; improving operational efficiency, administrative reform, and optimizing risk management according to international standards.

In addition, Agribank also aims to develop a stronger brand, affirming its position as a leading commercial bank, playing a key role in the agricultural and rural financial market.

Agribank Party Committee is a grassroots Party Committee. As of February 28, 2025, the entire Party Committee has 217 branches and affiliated Party Committees; including: 44 affiliated Party Committees, 15 grassroots Party Committees, 158 grassroots Party Committees and more than 24,421 Party members. The work of Party building, rectification, and leadership in implementing political tasks has been carried out synchronously by the Agribank Party Committee and the entire system with high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions, achieving many important and comprehensive results. This is the basis and foundation for the Agribank Party Committee to strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 10th Party Congress, prepare well and successfully organize party congresses at all levels towards the 11th Agribank Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, strive to comprehensively complete the goals and tasks of 2025, continue to affirm the role of the leading commercial bank in Vietnam and the key player in the agricultural and rural financial market.
