On the afternoon of April 20, at Phu Dien station (Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi), nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers of the People's Police Academy (Ministry of Public Security) boarded a train to the South to perform at the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The officers and soldiers will perform a drum performance with the theme "Epic of Victory".
The delegation traveled by two means of transport, of which 200 members traveled by car and 796 members traveled by train and will be ready to participate in the training session at Thong Nhat Hall on the evening of April 22.

The organizers said that, according to the announcement of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country, the People's Police Academy issued a plan to organize training. and performance of the Drum Festival Art Troupe, assign functional units to organize conditions to ensure practice.
The People's Police Academy has mobilized 1,000 students to practice the festival drum performance (including more than 700 drums and 300 flags, dragons, and dances) in the evenings and weekends for over the past 2 months.

The drum performance with the theme "Epic of Victory" was chosen as the opening performance in the Art Program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, which will take place in front of the Reunification Hall, Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of April 30.
The resounding, bustling sound from nearly 800 drums of small, medium and large sizes, and especially the 9 largest thunder drums in Vietnam (diameter over 2 m, height over 4 m) was like a call, arousing national pride at the glorious historical event of the country.
Along with the largest and most magnificent drum set, the performance is also staged with a smooth combination of folk dance, flag dance, and lion and dragon dance.

Sharing before leaving for the mission, Vi Viet Nam (student of class B3A, course D48) said he was extremely honored and proud to participate in the program.

Vi Viet Nam also said that he and his friends in the Festival Drum Art Team will bring a brilliant, emotional and unique performance, contributing to spreading national pride and fostering patriotism in every Vietnamese person.
Also a member participating in this performance, Truong Thuy Linh (student of the People's Police Academy), said she had never taken a train to the South.
"This is the first time I have experienced the train from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the program of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. I feel full of national pride and solidarity through this trip," Thuy Linh expressed.

Saying goodbye to the students, Major General Chu Van Dung, Deputy Director of the People's Police Academy, emphasized that participating in the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification in Ho Chi Minh City is not only an important task assigned to the academy by the Central Steering Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, but also a responsibility, an honor and a pride to contribute to the heroic drumbeat on the day of national victory.
