The highlight of the April 17th competition day was the performance of the players from the Phoenix Flames Team – the team competing at Premier Level, the highest level of the Major League Pickleball (MLP) system. The appearance of stars such as Tyson McGuffin (world No. 6), Andrei Daescu (world No. 1 men's doubles), Jessie Irvine, Pesa Teoni, Genie Bouchard... turned the afternoon in Thu Thiem into a real "festival" for Vietnamese pickleball fans.
In particular, friendly matches such as the pair Tyson McGuffin and Proton Chairman Charles Darling facing athlete Phuc Huynh and Mr. Dang Hong Anh (Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association) brought an exciting atmosphere to the stands.
The audience also had the opportunity to witness the auction of a limited edition Proton racket – ranked in the top 300 globally, signed by MLP players. The proceeds will be used to provide scholarships to disadvantaged students in Vietnam.

Continuing the exciting atmosphere, on April 18, the event “Rise With The Flames” will continue at the D-Joy Pickleball Court Complex in South Saigon (District 7). Fans will meet MLP players again in friendly matches with the D-Joy Club, young players and especially the winner of the previous day’s auction.
Along with the competition, there will be a series of mini-games, exchange activities and direct interactions between international stars and Vietnamese audiences. According to the organizers, this is one of the efforts to create a deeper connection between the domestic pickleball community and the world.
