Famous artists select actors for the movie "The Legend of Da Trach"

Hanoi Radio and Television, as the cultural and media agency of the capital, has set itself the task of telling the story of the country's history and culture through cinema. That is why the first film project of Hanoi Radio and Television chose the Chu Dong Tu-Tien Dung project, one of the most famous love stories of the Vietnamese people, with humanistic, cultural and historical significance, to make the film "The Legend of Da Trach. We understand that this is a very difficult topic and when choosing a difficult topic, there is only one way, which is to try our best to tell the story that touches the audience's emotions when the work is released".

“The Legend of Da Trach” is inspired by the legend of Chu Dong Tu - one of the “Four Immortals” of Vietnamese culture and consciousness (along with Tan Vien Son Thanh, Phu Dong Thien Vuong and Mau Lieu Hanh).

The film recounts one of the most famous and beautiful love stories in the treasure trove of Vietnamese folklore: the love story of Princess Tien Dung and the poor boy Chu Dong Tu, a symbol of the pioneering spirit and desire for prosperity of the ancient Vietnamese people.

The film is also a depiction of the journey from the early days of the ancient Vietnamese community, about the work of creating, protecting the living space and development of the residents of the Northern Delta.

Director Ton Nguyen said that right after announcing the film project “Huyen Tinh Da Trach”, there were thousands of applications to apply for roles in the film. The film crew conducted casting for the two main characters Chu Dong Tu, Tien Dung and some important roles in the film such as: King Hung, Trieu Lac Tuong, Hong Van, Xuong Cuong… This is an opportunity for those who love cinema and acting to participate in a large-scale and special film project in Hanoi.

On the first day of casting, the film attracted many famous artists, actors, runners-up, and models to participate such as: actors Minh Tiep, Viet Bac, Huynh Anh, Ngoc Quynh, B Tran, Long Vu, Van Toan, Huu Vi, Tien Loc, Chi Nhan, Pham Ngoc Anh, runner-up Vu Thuy Quynh...

The casting attracted hundreds of professional and amateur actors.

According to the Organizing Committee, the first round of casting will take place from April 21 to 22 at Studio S5 of Hanoi Radio and Television. Then, on May 5, the crew will continue to select actors for the second round in Ho Chi Minh City.
