On the occasion of one year since the gas pipeline attack, Mr. Barbin emphasized: "There has been no significant progress. There is still no interaction with Denmark in the investigation of the explosions at the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines.

Denmark refused Russia not only its request to participate in a joint investigation into the sabotage, but also most of its requests for legal assistance in this criminal case."

According to Ambassador Barbin, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office received only one response to its request: In June, the Danish Prosecutor's Office reported that a cylindrical object discovered by Nord Stream AG 2 in February had been recovered from the bottom of the Baltic Sea and identified as a used, empty smoke buoy.

Swedish prosecutors investigating the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion said earlier that the case was at a sensitive stage and hoped to make a decision on whether to bring charges by the end of the year.

In late September 2022, explosions damaged two Russian gas export pipelines to Europe.

Germany, Denmark and Sweden do not rule out the possibility that it was an act of deliberate sabotage.

Nord Stream AG said the damage to the gas pipeline was unprecedented and that it was impossible to estimate the repair timeframe.

The Russian prosecutor's office has opened a case of international terrorism.
