According to Mr. Tang Van An, Head of the Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting Department of the North Central Region, the phenomenon of layered clouds forming bands is called the distant circulation cloud band of a storm. It usually appears before the storm makes landfall or after the storm dissipates.
"Not every storm produces this phenomenon, and it doesn't depend on the storm's intensity. This is a natural occurrence, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and sometimes even tornadoes and strong winds."
"In storm warning bulletins, steering committee meetings from the central to local levels often issue warnings about storm circulation. This is the main reason for prolonged thunderstorms after the storm," Mr. An said.
