After 4 days of deliberation, on the afternoon of May 16, the People's Court of Binh Phuoc province announced the first instance verdict, sentencing defendant Le Thi Kim Cuc (22 years old, residing in Binh Phuoc) to 8 years in prison for murder and 2 years in prison for intentional injury. The total sentence is 10 years in prison.
At the same time, Bo Van Duong (33 years old), Nguyen Viet Minh (34 years old) each defendant was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison; Nguyen Thi Thuy (33 years old) to 2 years in prison; Nguyen Van Hung (30 years old) to 18 months in prison and Nguyen Thi Trang (31 years old, all residing in Binh Phuoc) to 18 months in prison but given a suspended sentence for the crime of disturbing public order.

According to the indictment, on March 8, 2022, Le Thi Kim Cuc (worker) and Nguyen Thi Trang (deputy manager of workshop D of S&K Vina Co., Ltd. located in N Minh Hung Industrial Park - Korea, Chon Thanh Town) had a conflict over seating arrangements in the company, so they challenged each other.
Even though they were reconciled, Trang was still angry, so after work, Trang, Bo Van Duong, Truong Quang Du, Nguyen Thi Thuy (Trang's friend) went to look for Cuc but could not find her. Trang went home and continued talking to Nguyen Viet Minh (Trang's husband) and suspected that Cuc would invite more people to meet and resolve the conflict. At this time, Cuc also knew that Trang and some people were looking for her.
At around 4:35 p.m. on March 9, 2022, after work, Cuc went to meet Trang to talk. While they were talking, Thuy suddenly came and used her helmet to hit Cuc on the head and was stopped. At this time, Mr. H. (who lived as husband and wife with Cuc) saw Cuc being beaten and tried to stop her, but Minh rushed in, strangled her and pushed her away.
At this time, Cuc used a knife (which she was carrying) to stab Minh and Duong. Trang saw Cuc holding a knife to stab Minh, so she rushed in to pull Cuc away but was stabbed by Cuc.

Duong and Du also rushed in to join in beating H. Seeing H. being beaten, Cuc took a knife and stabbed Duong and Du repeatedly, one of which was a stab wound to Du's neck, leading to his death later. At this time, Minh took an iron pipe and hit Cuc in the back, but was stopped by everyone and taken inside the company. Nguyen Van Hung (Trang's friend) arrived and saw Trang and Minh injured, so he also took a knife and ran in to beat Cuc, but was also stopped.
The consequences of the fight also caused Thuy and Duong to both suffer 2% injuries, Trang to suffer 17% injuries, and Minh to suffer 3% injuries.
6 defendants sentenced for a small conflict in the company
The indictment stated that the actions of Trang, Thuy, Duong, Hung and Minh in beating Cuc caused disorder in the industrial park, resulting in death and negatively affecting security, order and social safety.
After reviewing the circumstances at the trial, the panel sentenced the female worker and five other defendants for the above crimes.
