The Ministry of Transport has sent a dispatch to relevant units requesting them to strengthen solutions to better serve people's travel needs and ensure traffic order and safety during the April 30-May 1 holiday.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport requested the Vietnam Road Administration to guide and urge the Departments of Transport of provinces and cities to direct transport businesses and bus stations to publicly, transparently and in accordance with regulations on transport fares, prices and service fees at bus stations.
Passenger transport business units have appropriate transport organization plans, carrying the correct permitted load, the correct number of people according to regulations, ensuring capacity and quality of transport services; strictly checking the safety conditions of vehicles and drivers before departure; strengthening propaganda on traffic safety laws, not driving after drinking alcohol, providing guidance on implementing rules and skills for safe traffic participation on highways and steep mountain passes...
The Vietnam Road Administration regularly coordinates with the Departments of Transport to manage the operations of transport vehicles (regarding speed, operating routes, continuous driving time and working hours of drivers during the day...) through extracting data from vehicle tracking devices).
In addition to taking timely remedial measures when incidents and accidents occur, especially on key traffic routes and areas at high risk of congestion, the Department of Roads directs BOT investors to develop plans to ensure security and order, and traffic flow at toll stations when traffic volume increases suddenly; inspect and direct toll stations to promptly handle and clear vehicles to limit congestion before entering toll stations.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam directs the Vietnam Airports Corporation, the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, and airlines to plan to increase human resources, equipment, and facilities for security and safety screening, and baggage return for passengers; arrange and provide full instructions at airports so that passengers know and collect their baggage in the correct designated areas, avoiding congestion and causing frustration for passengers, especially at Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai International Airports.
The Civil Aviation Authority directs airlines to develop plans to increase flights during peak days, arrange night flights to meet passenger travel needs based on infrastructure and ensure flight safety; operate flight schedules to minimize flight delays and cancellations, especially during holidays; strictly implement the posting, announcement, and publicization of ticket prices and fares according to regulations.
The Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration and the Vietnam Maritime Administration direct units in the field to promptly take measures to ensure safety and meet the travel needs of people on waterway transport routes from shore to island when bad weather affects the transport activities of ships and boats.
Departments of Transport of provinces and cities shall effectively implement solutions to control and reduce traffic accidents; require transport units to comply with traffic rules, strictly handle violations that cause traffic accidents; strengthen coordination with functional forces of the Public Security sector in inspecting technical safety conditions of transport vehicles and drivers of transport vehicles.
The Department of Transport proactively coordinates with the competent agencies of the Vietnam Road Administration to promote the exploitation of data from vehicle tracking devices to enhance monitoring, promptly provide data to the authorities to strictly handle according to the law for vehicle owners and drivers who violate the law; strengthen inspection of the implementation of legal regulations on business and conditions for transport business, especially focusing on regulations to ensure traffic safety for car drivers engaged in transport business...
