Ensuring a clean and beautiful environment contributes to serving Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023

Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 is a major tourism event organized with the aim of introducing and promoting to domestic and foreign tourists the value and beauty of Ninh Binh's natural landscape. Along with ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation and landscape work are being actively implemented by Ninh Hai commune and related units to create a good impression in the hearts of tourists.

Early in the morning of May 25, close to the opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023, more than 100 women's union members from 5 women's unions and people of Van Lam and Dam Khe villages simultaneously launched a general environmental cleaning campaign.

Ms. Bui Thi Kiem, a member of the Women's Union of Ninh Hai Commune, said: We are very proud to be born and raised on the land of Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area and many famous historical relics. With that pride, we always try to preserve and protect the environment so that tourism can develop in a sustainable direction.

In preparation for Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023, we women organized cleaning, garbage collection, removal of obstacles, cleaning roadsides, collecting all garbage to designated places... This activity took place on main roads from Dong Gung bus station to Dinh Cac boat station and self-managed roads around Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area and residential areas.

Mr. Dinh Anh Toi, Vice Chairman of Ninh Hai Commune People's Committee, said: This is the second peak period that the commune has directed organizations to organize to launch a campaign to clean up the environment in preparation for the upcoming Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023. This activity will continue to be maintained throughout the Tourism Week.

In addition to general environmental sanitation, Ninh Hai commune also assigned the Farmers' Association to clear grass and reeds in the rice fields along both sides of the Ngo Dong River, creating a landscape for tourists to visit; at the same time, assigned the police and military forces to coordinate in ensuring security and order in the commune.

In addition, to ensure the landscape during Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023, Ninh Hai commune has renovated the roadside, cleaned up old and damaged billboards, trimmed trees along the main road, decorated flower pots in main areas.... At the same time, it has promoted people to decorate their houses, village roads, and alleys, consciously preserving the general landscape, serving well for the upcoming Tourism Week.

Along with the implementation of the peak period of environmental sanitation, Ninh Hai continues to propagate to people to raise awareness of environmental sanitation, practice civilized cultural lifestyle in tourist areas. Regularly inspect and correct violations in tourism activities, encroachment on historical-cultural relics, especially accommodation business activities, activities that degrade the environment and natural landscape in heritage areas.

The locality continues to maintain and expand movements, good models, and new ways of protecting the environment. Regarding waste collection and treatment, Ninh Hai commune has 5 villages and each village has established a collection and transportation team to the designated place. Waste is classified at the source and collected on the same day, transported for treatment.

Ninh Hai has many tourist attractions that attract a large number of tourists to visit, so the locality has installed trash bins of the right size, suitable for storing and classifying trash, convenient for collecting and storing trash for residents and tourists; installed signs to propagate the prohibition of littering.

Households and businesses operating in tourism and services have committed to collecting waste and cleaning the environment around the area. The movements "Green Saturday", "10 minutes from home to alley"... continue to be maintained, creating a widespread influence and receiving the attention, agreement and support of the people, contributing to forming habits in preserving and protecting the landscape and environment.

Like Ninh Hai commune, in preparation for Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023, the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourism Management Board has implemented many plans to strengthen environmental sanitation, creating an increasingly clean and beautiful landscape. The unit coordinated to clear the flow, organize garbage and moss collection campaigns on the Ngo Dong River.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Phong, Executive Director of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area said: In addition to arranging human resources to regularly control, promptly detect and prevent littering, we also focus on visual propaganda about preserving the landscape and environment through billboards, posters, banners, slogans... especially through propagandists who are boatmen to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of people and tourists in protecting the environment, preserving the space of the tourist area green - clean - beautiful, civilized.

With the proactive and active efforts of all levels, sectors, units and people in ensuring the environmental landscape, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 promises to be a great success, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of every tourist when visiting and experiencing the tourist areas and spots of Ninh Binh.
